Novosoft Releases Handy Backup 6.6 to Enhance Its Enterprise Backup Offerings
Novosoft releases an update to its famous line of backup software. The new 6.6 version of Handy Backup comes with multiple improvements to server-specific functions, including MS SQL, MS Exchange and Database Backup plug-ins, which now have optimized architecture and support more system configurations.

Alliance, Ohio, May 18, 2010 - Novosoft, one of the leading vendors of backup software worldwide, has announced the release of Handy Backup 6.6, a new version of backup software for Windows Server-based networks and individual PCs. The changes include improvements to functions used to work with Microsoft SQL and Exchange Servers, and to an engine responsible for transferring data via FTP.
"It's been almost a year since Handy Backup received Microsoft’s Works with Windows Server 2008 logo, and its compatibility with Microsoft’s server solutions made an important contribution to this certification," - said Alexander Prichalov, head of Novosoft’s development department. "Since then, we’ve made a lot of great enhancements, and it’s a great pleasure to see the interest to Handy Backup from corporate users increasing with each new release."
Novosoft’s Handy Backup is famous for its extensible architecture, where all backup jobs are performed by so-called plug-ins that can be updated and improved independently of the program’s core. Server-specific plug-ins include MS Exchange, MS SQL, IBM DB2, IBM Lotus, Oracle and Database Backup.
In addition to more than twenty free plug-ins that can be downloaded from the official Handy Backup website ( http://www.handybackup.net/backup-plugins.shtml), Novosoft also invites users to create backup plug-ins of their own, send them to Novosoft and receive a free license of Handy Backup in return.
